Due to the closing of school during the storm, we will be continuing our lessons from this past week.  Please see below for all the information.

In Phonics, we will continue Mm like in Monkey.  We will also be working on Word List 2.

Animal Babies in the Grasslands will still be our reading story.  We are working on Main Idea or “the big idea” of the whole story.  We are also talking about different animal habitats like oceans, desserts, ponds, and of course grasslands.

In Math, we are counting pennies and adding and subtracting pennies.  We will continue to review numbers to 10, especially how to write them.  We have been counting our days of school, with our goal being 100. We also started working with a clock and talking about telling time to the hour.

Our Thanksgiving bulletin board is starting to come together.  We are working on Thanksgiving feasts, Pilgrims, Native Americans, the Mayflower, and establishing a community once the Pilgrims arrived.

Also, please send in your party money if you did not do so already.  Thank you!
