***In Reading, our new story is Building With Dad and it is an informational fiction story.  Our amazing words are: groundbreaking, trenches, foundation, welding, waterproof, gleaming. Our essential question is “How is a school built?”.  We will also talk about comparing and contrasting and pronouns I and me.  Please continue to review: letter names, letter sounds, all the sounds you hear in a word, blending sounds together to make a word, reading nightly and practicing all sight words.

***Science and Social Studies-  We were able to discuss maps and map features between our past two reading stories, “On The Move” and “This is the Way we go to School” and we also looked at what a globe looks like through our Earth Day activities.  We cannot wait to explore more living things and life cycles as the weather continues to warm up and things begin to bloom!

***Handwriting/Writing-  We will be working on forming thoughts and sentences.  We will also check to make sure that the illustration matches the sentence so that we are staying on topic.
