May 17- Lunch count forms due back for carnival
May 20th- Yearbooks arrive
May 24th- Kindergarten Graduation (tickets and information
will be sent home shortly)
May 27th- Carnival Day for NSE
May 30th- No School

Kindergarten Test: will be on Tuesday for our class. We have been practicing very hard for
this. Please continue to practice over
the weekend. We will be writing as many
words as we can in 10 minutes. These
should be short words that can be easily spelled like sight words and word
family words. No nonsense words or
longer words that we are unsure of the spelling. Also, they will be writing 2 sentences that
are read aloud one word at a time.
Finally, everyone will be pulled individually to name each letter, make
all letter sounds (including long and short vowels), and name a word for each
letter sound.
Thanks for returning the assessment packets that were signed and
returned in the folders. If you have not
done that yet, please do so as soon as possible. We are so proud of the progress and hard
work!
No written
homework for the rest of the school year.
Please continue to read nightly and practice sight words and letters and
sounds.
This will be the last official newsletter/blog update
for the school year. We will continue to
send date reminders and informational items in the folders, so please check it
daily and clean out all of the papers nightly. Thanks for your cooperation.
