This week in class:
Math: We have started: Topic 8, Understanding Subtraction. We will talk about: stories about separating, stories about take away, stories about comparing, using the minus sign, finding the difference, subtraction sentences, and using objects. We will continue to review: numbers, counting, patterns, time, money, and other math concepts daily.
Reading/Phonics: Our new story is called: “My Lucky Day” and the skill we will be focusing on is: cause and effect. We are also working on Ll in the beginning of words. We will be talking about adventures. The amazing words are: piglet, filthy, fox, cook, lucky, scrubber. We will also review: verbs.
Science: Next week we will be talking about what objects keep their shape and what objects can change their shape. We will also be exploring liquids and how they can change. Our Weekly Reader will be dental health.

In April, the PTO will be holding a Basket Auction for a fundraiser. Our theme is: Car Care. There will be more information to follow, but please mark your calendars to attend this fun event!
We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday with Read Across America activities on Friday, March 27.
March calendars will be coming home.
