*We appreciate all of your patience and support with getting back into routine from holiday break, days off, delays, and end of the marking period assessments.  Homework resumes next week.*

Last week and this week in class:

Math:  Our topic is Topic 6, Numbers to 100.  We have counted to 30, estimated about how many, counted to 100 and used a 100 chart.  We will be working on groups of ten, finding a pattern on a 100 chart and looking for a pattern.  In Math Meeting, we have been counting by ones, fives, tens, and been counting from one number to another (like starting at 65 and count to 83).  We will also continue to practice counting to 100 and more 100 fun on the 100th day of school. (More info to follow)

Reading/Phonics: Our new story is called: “Farfallina and Marcel” and the skill we will be focusing on is: plot.  We are also working on Ff in the beginning of words and end of words. We will be working on using verbs in future and present tense.  We also will be working on captions.  Our amazing words for this story are: goose, caterpillar, reflection, gosling, butterfly, cocoon. This is a fiction story about how friendships change and the metamorphosis of animals.
