Week of March 19

Monday –Thursday: 1/2 sheet
Tuesday – Thursday: practice reader

In Reading, we will continue with Unit 5, Going Places. We will be reading the story Messenger! Messenger! and discussing different forms of emergency transportation. We will discuss comparing and contrasting.
In Phonics, we will be learning about the consonant “Ww” as in wagon and wacky. On Wednesday, we’ll have “Watery Wednesday” when we do lots of experiments and activities about water. We will also have “Wacky Hair Day” on Friday. Students are invited to wear their hair in a wacky way on Friday! Word List 17 will be tested Friday. Word lists will not be sent home in advance during the 4th marking period. We are looking for student to be able to apply the phonics skills.


In Math, we will pay for items using pennies, nickels, dimes or a quarter, we will identify and match equivalent sets and identify doubles while learning how to play dominos, and will act out addition story problem.


Kindergarten Graduation pictures will be taken in the morning on Friday, March 30th. Envelopes were sent home with portrait package information. If you are interested in purchasing pictures, then please return the money before or on the day of pictures. **Each child will be photographed as part of a class photo even if a package is not purchased, so please plan on your child wearing a WHITE COLLARED SHIRT and girls, no hairstyles on top of your heads because you will be wearing graduation caps and gowns! (Mark your calendars; Kindergarten Graduation will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd in the evening at the High School Auditorium)


Our Kindergarten Field Trip has been scheduled!!! We will be going to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus at the Giant Center in Hershey on Thursday, May 24th. It is the All New Blue Tour, DRAGONS. Check it out @ www.ringling.com
Report Cards will be sent home on Friday, March 23rd.
