Homework for the Week:
Monday-Thursday: ½ sheet written work, Decodable Reader (Ben is Ten), word list
*There will be NO SHOW AND TELL* this week for the letter Yy.*
Yy as in Yarn will be our new letter for the week. We are working our way through the alphabet and have learned almost all of the letters. The spelling sound tests of the past week have had beautiful handwriting! Give yourselves a cheer!
In Math, we will continue our measurement lessons, work more with patterns and pattern blocks, and explore the geoboards. We are now past the 100th day of school and we practice counting to 100 in various ways each day. We also play a hidden number game and everyone does such a nice job! Give yourselves a cheer!
Our new Reading Story is, Bunny Day. We will be working on sequence of a story. We will be also talking about adventures.
In Science, we have finally finished our “Wood and Paper” unit and have learned about the different kinds of paper and wood and how they can be changed. We have also learned about their physical properties and what they can be made into. We will soon be moving onto “Animals Two by Two”.
