Week of October 31, 2016

Monday,
October 31- Day 2
Happy Halloween!!! AR Book Logs Due
Tuesday, November
1- First Day of November, Day
3
Reading: Our new story is Animal Babies in the
Grasslands and it is an informational text about the grasslands and a variety
of animals and their babies and we learn all of the baby names (ex. A baby
kangaroo is a joey). Please continue to
review all sight words, letter names, letter sounds, and something that begins
with each letter of the alphabet. We are
so excited to see that we are beginning to blend and read words and even spell
them when given the sounds. Please keep
up the good work!
Math: We will continue to compare numbers 0-5. Please continue to practice counting to 100,
writing numbers 0-20 and counting by 10’s.
We are working hard on time and money as well in our Math Meeting. We can’t wait to start a new month in our
Calendar.
Science: We will also be continuing our
Earth/Sky unit and we will be graphing the weather for one week to compare the
many different weather throughout the week.
***Many thanks to our guest readers for the month of October: Fireman
Prosick, Mr. and Mrs. Cuttic, and Mrs. Pryzblick. If you are interested in becoming a guest
reader, please write a note and we will resend the form to fill out. Thanks again!***
